ALF Tales is an American animated television series that served as the rebranded second season of ALF: The Animated Series, airing on NBC from September 1988 to January 1989, and is notable for shifting its narrative format to parody classic fairy tales, historical events, and literature set on the fictional planet Melmac.

Originally premiering in the fall of 1987 as ALF: The Animated Series, the show was conceived as a prequel to the highly successful live-action sitcom ALF. The first season depicted the childhood and adolescent years of Gordon Shumway (ALF) on his home planet, Melmac, prior to its catastrophic destruction. For its second season, the series was retitled ALF Tales. This rebranding accompanied a significant shift in the show's narrative format.
